Captains Drivein 14th January 2020

What a fantastic day to welcome our new Captain Brian Barden, when he held is ‘Drive In’ on Tuesday. The turnout was memorable 37 playing members, no guests this week we were full! This week we have pictures of Brian has he drives off for the first time as captain. Sadly, on this occasion his team didn’t win! His drive carried 132 yards and the winner, apart from his chosen charity, who guessed the nearest distance was Fiona Sankey.

The competition was ‘team accumulator with 2,3 and 4 scores counting. After a delayed start because of frost the weather was really good, the sun came out and some of the golf was pretty good as well. Prizes this week:

Balls in the Water: - Malcolm Cannon guessed correctly with 99, well done Malcolm.

Two’s: – No twos this week, so it’s a roll over for next week.

Nearest the pins went to: - Mick Framer on hole 5, 4.51m 9 and Jean Taylor on hole 16, 3.91m
